On April 14, 2025, the Faculty of Finance and Banking at FTU and the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) co-organized an international exchange program under the annual “Explore ASEAN” project – an initiative to connect students from ASEAN and Switzerland.

The FHNW delegation included four faculty members and 26 students, led by Ms. Teresa Freiburghaus – Regional Cooperation Director for Southeast Asia.

From FTU, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Viet Dung – Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Banking – welcomed the delegation along with faculty and students from the Advanced Finance and Banking Program (Cohort 61).

In his welcome remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Viet Dung emphasized the importance of academic exchanges in enhancing mutual understanding and preparing students for global integration.

The journey began with a visit to Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park – Vietnam’s key R&D center. Mr. Le Thanh Son – Deputy Head of the Management Board – provided an overview of the zone’s planning, development directions, and strategic advantages, especially its links with universities to foster innovation.

Next, the group visited FPT Software, where students experienced a modern, flexible workplace. Facilities like the Laundry Room, Mommy’s Room, and Smile Room impressed students with the company’s holistic care for employees and strong corporate culture.

Students from both universities also participated in a Dong Ho folk painting workshop led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Huu – founder of Magic Of Color. They learned about printing techniques and created their own artwork, gaining firsthand exposure to Vietnamese cultural heritage.

The program concluded with a cultural exchange at F-Hub filled with music, games, and heartfelt stories shared by students from both countries – creating an emotional, enriching evening of cross-cultural connection.
