On August 27, 2025, the leadership of Foreign Trade University (FTU) welcomed and held a working session with Ms. Nguyen Thuy Linh – Project Director and Academic Business Manager at IGroup, and Ms. Mutiara Choiriyah – Representative of SAGE Publications in charge of Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

Representing Foreign Trade University were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Ngoc Tien – Vice President, Dr. Vu Huyen Phuong – Deputy Head of the Office of Science Management, and Mr. Tran Dac Loc, M.A. – Head of the Digital Transformation Implementation Committee.

At the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Ngoc Tien expressed his pleasure in welcoming representatives from IGroup and SAGE Publications. He extended his sincere appreciation to the two organizations for providing FTU faculty members with the opportunity to trial access to SAGE’s academic databases. He also expressed his hope to further enhance collaboration between FTU and SAGE through initiatives such as joint publication of academic papers, books, and reference materials authored by FTU lecturers.

During the discussion, Ms. Mutiara Choiriyah introduced additional products and services offered by SAGE Publications that could be beneficial to the University. Dr. Vu Huyen Phuong also shared feedback from FTU faculty members who had participated in the database trial, highlighting their impressions and suggestions for future cooperation.

Representatives from IGroup and SAGE Publications appreciated the valuable feedback from FTU lecturers and expressed their desire to explore further avenues of partnership with the University.

The meeting strengthened the cooperative relationship between FTU, IGroup, and SAGE, while opening up new opportunities for FTU faculty and students to access reliable academic resources and enhance their capacity for international research publication with a prestigious global academic publisher.
