On August 1, 2025, in preparation for the new academic year 2025–2026, the Office of International Affairs (OIA) of Foreign Trade University (FTU) organized an Orientation Session for Incoming Exchange Students.

The event was attended by Ms. Dao Thi Thu Ha, M.A. – Deputy Head of the Office of International Affairs, along with OIA staff members, student buddies, and more than 50 international students from various countries such as the France, Germany, Norway, Italy, Belgium, Russia, Japan, and others.

The orientation aimed to help international students quickly adapt to the academic environment, culture, and student life in Vietnam as well as at FTU. During the session, students were provided with an overview of FTU’s study programs, university regulations, and campus life activities, including cultural exchange events, Vietnamese language classes, and student clubs.

In her opening remarks, Ms. Dao Thi Thu Ha warmly welcomed all international students, emphasizing the importance of international integration and affirming that every exchange student becomes a valued member of the FTU family. She proudly introduced FTU as one of Vietnam’s leading universities and a wonderful place for international students to study and experience life in Vietnam. She expressed her hope that their time at FTU would be a memorable journey, contributing to cultural understanding and strengthening friendship among nations.

The session took place in a lively and friendly atmosphere, featuring interactive exchanges between international and Vietnamese students. It also provided opportunities for students to ask questions, share their initial concerns, and receive thoughtful guidance from the university.

The program concluded with a campus tour, helping international students become more familiar with FTU’s facilities and surroundings to better prepare for their studies.

The Office of International Affairs successfully organized the Orientation Session for Incoming Exchange Students – Fall Semester 2025. The event fostered greater interaction between exchange students and FTU buddies, while also showcasing the unique identity and welcoming spirit of FTU to the international community.
