On March 14, 2024, Ms. Carmen Cano de Lasala - New Spanish Ambassador in Vietnam visited and worked at Foreign Trade University.

At the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thu Huong shared positive feedback about the Spanish lecturers working at the School in stimulating and promoting students' interest in the Spanish language through teachers and lecturers at lectures as well as cultural exchange and introduction activities.  At the same time, the school's leaders also shared the initial difficulties and challenges that Spanish lecturers encountered when coming to Vietnam to teach.

In addition, cooperation opportunities with organizations in Spain were also discussed during the meeting.  With the goal of making Spanish one of the main languages ​​taught at Foreign Trade University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thu Huong expressed her hope to continue to receive support and cooperation from the Embassy.  Spain as well as the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation in the coming school years.  This is an important step contributing to the expansion of cooperation between Vietnam and Spain, not only in the field of education but also in other fields such as sports and culture.  Ms. Carmen Cano de Lasala expressed her joy at having the opportunity to visit and work with the leaders of Foreign Trade University, one of the leading economic schools in Vietnam, and highly appreciated the cooperation between the Foreign Trade University and the Embassy in introducing Spanish into teaching at university.
