On May 27, 2025, Foreign Trade University hosted a working session with a delegation from Monash University, Australia – a member of Australia’s prestigious Group of Eight (G8) and ranked 42nd globally by the QS World University Rankings 2025.
From Monash University, the session was attended by Ms. Carla Wilkin – Head of Quality Assurance and International Cooperation, and Ms. Courtney Irvine – Student Program and Partnership Manager.
From FTU, representatives included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Ngoc Tien – Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Thuy Ngoc – Dean of the Faculty of International Education; and Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Dat – ViceDean of the Faculty of International Education.
During the session, Monash University confirmed that it had completed the required documentation to launch a joint Bachelor of Finance program with FTU. This program combines both institutions’ strengths in teaching and research, providing Vietnamese students access to a high-quality international education within Vietnam through modern, practice-oriented, and standardized content.
Beyond the joint training program, the two parties also explored further research collaboration opportunities. This includes co-implementing joint research projects, organizing international academic conferences, and initiating faculty and scholar exchange programs.
The working session proceeded in a cooperative and productive atmosphere. Both sides expressed optimism and strong commitment toward a long-term, robust partnership in education and scientific research.
