On October 2, 2024, the Faculty of International Economics of Foreign Trade University (FTU) organized the scientific seminar “Prospects for Vietnam-UAE Economic Cooperation”, featuring Dr. Bader Almatrooshi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Vietnam, as the keynote speaker.
The event was part of a series of activities celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Faculty. Before the seminar officially commenced, Ambassador Bader Almatrooshi, Deputy Ambassador Eisa Almatrooshi, and other economic, political, diplomatic, and cultural leaders from the UAE Embassy in Vietnam paid a courtesy visit and discussed cooperation opportunities between the UAE Embassy and FTU, as well as future collaboration prospects.
On behalf of FTU leadership, the delegation was welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Ngoc Tien – Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Hoang Nam – Head of the Department of Research Administration; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cao Dinh Kien – Director of International Affairs; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Xuan Binh – Dean of the Faculty of International Economics.
In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Ngoc Tien emphasized that Foreign Trade University strongly believes that international cooperation plays a crucial role in addressing complex global challenges and seizing new opportunities within the global economy. This seminar serves as an excellent opportunity for scholars, researchers, faculty members, and students of the Faculty of International Economics to gain deeper insights into the UAE, thereby fostering future collaboration opportunities, particularly in the field of education.
Before presenting his keynote speech, Ambassador Bader Almatrooshi extended his congratulations on the 15th anniversary of the Faculty of International Economics and presented a bouquet of flowers and a symbolic gift from the UAE to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Xuan Binh – Dean of the Faculty of International Economics.
