From August 20 to August 22, 2024, an FTU delegation, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Ngoc Tien – Vice President, attended the 13th Asian Universities Forum (AUF) at IPB University – IPB Dramaga Campus, Bogor, Indonesia.
The forum was co-hosted by IPB University (Indonesia) and Seoul National University (South Korea) under the theme “Promoting Innovation and University-Enterprise Cooperation to Shape Higher Education.” This year’s forum gathered representatives from nearly 20 prestigious higher education institutions in countries such as Vietnam, China, Thailand, the Philippines, South Korea, Myanmar, Cambodia, and others.
In his opening remarks, Professor Arif Satria, President of IPB University, highlighted that the 2024 forum was initiated to foster global cooperation, particularly in higher education. The forum is expected to be a platform for AUF members to exchange and discuss opportunities and challenges in connecting research, innovation, and business enterprises.
Over two days, with presentations from speakers and joint discussion sessions, AUF member universities shared their experiences with challenges and opportunities faced. Notably, during the second day’s discussions, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Ngoc Tien chaired a session where participants shared successful university-enterprise collaboration models.
In addition to working sessions, the FTU delegation also visited other IPB University facilities and was introduced to departments and centers supporting research, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
