On August 12, 2024, the School of Japanese at FTU held the opening ceremony for the Japanese-Language Accounting Programfor Cohort60 Business Japanese students for the 2024-2025 academic year.
The ceremony not only marked the start of a new learning journey but also carried significant meaning and emotion.
Representing the partner organizations were Mr. Masayuki Tamagawa – President of the Association for the Popularization and Promotion of Double-Entry Bookkeeping in Vietnam (ABPV); Ms. Iwatani – National Accounting Specialist at Yamada & Partners Vietnam; Mr. Takuya Makimura – Senior Director of Yamada Consulting Spire Vietnam.
Representing the School of Japanese at FTU were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Thu Thuy – Dean of the Faculyuof Japanese; Mr. Hidero Kokubo, along with faculty members and all students of the School.
In her opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Thu Thuy encouraged the K60 students for their dedication and efforts in their studies and hoped they would complete the course with the best results. In his remarks, Mr. Tamagawa shared insights into the course and the significance of studying accounting in Japanese. He also expressed his desire to spread knowledge of this subject to Japanese-language students and anyone currently working or aspiring to work in a Japanese-language environment.
With the motto "Those who do not understand will ask those who do, and those who understand will help those who do not," Mr. Kokubo shared helpful information about the Japanese-Language Accounting Program, job opportunities in accounting, and the learning journey ahead. Additionally, sincere stories from upperclassmen about their experiences, challenges, and lessons learned gave K60 students greater confidence as they embarked on their new course.
The Japanese-Language Accounting Programwill provide a solid foundation for Japanese-major students at FTU, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary for a promising future.
