On March 5, 2024, the university leadership welcomed the delegation from Meiho University (Taiwan) for a visit and discussions on potential future cooperation opportunities.

Attending the meeting from Meiho University were: Prof. Chien-Tai Wang – President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hsiao-Tseng Lin – Head of the Information Technology Department, Head of the International and Cross-Strait Affairs Department; Dr. En-Pou Wang – Director of International and Cross-Strait Affairs; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chun-Chang Yen – Department of Sports and Recreation Management, Head Coach of the Women's Basketball Team.

Welcoming the delengation from Meiho University on behalf of Foreign Trade University were: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Anh Tuan – President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đao Ngoc Tien – Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cao Đinh Kien – Director of International Affairs; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Thuy Ngoc – Head of the Falculty of International Education, along with several university officials.

During the meeting, the two sides shared some of the collaborative activities that have been implemented recently, the development orientations and strategies of each university in the coming period, and exchanged opportunities for future international cooperation.

As part of the program, the two universities organized a friendly basketball match between their women's basketball teams at the Physical Education and Sports Center of Foreign Trade University. The teams played enthusiastically and delivered impressive performances, cheered on by the audience. This event was one of the special activities leading up to International Women's Day on March 8.

Coach Chun-Chang Yen highly praised the quality of the match and the preparation and investment of the Foreign Trade University's women's basketball team, and he affirmed that both teams would continue to improve and develop further in the future.

After the match, the teams had a friendly exchange and presented each other with commemorative gifts.
