On March 16, 2023, the Foreign Trade University successfully hosted The 6th forum on internationalization in higher education (FIHE) with the theme "Campus-in-Campus: Innovative Models for Internationalization of Higher Education Institutions."
The forum attracted over 200 delegates representing more than 80 domestic and foreign educational institutions, organizations, businesses and 25 embassies in Vietnam. The three main speakers at the 6th FIHE were Professor Rongyu Li – Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Queensland (Australia); Mr. Adrian Veale, a Senior Expert at the European Commission; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thu Huong, Vice President of Foreign Trade University.
In attendance from Foreign Trade University were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Anh Tuan, Party Committee Secretary and President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Thu Thuy, Party Committee Deputy Secretary and Chairwoman of University Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thu Huong, Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Ngoc Tien, Vice President; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cao Dinh Kien, Director of Office of International Affairs, along with department heads and their deputies, staff, teachers, and students.
The 6th Forum on Internationalization in Higher education (FIHE 6) featured the theme: "Campus-in-Campus: Innovative Models for Internationalization of Higher Education Institutions."
The forum included three presentations by the main speakers, titled as follows: "Sustainable Development in Internationalization of Higher Education" by Professor Rongyu Li, Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Queensland (Australia); "When European Universities Contemplate the Future - The Role of Cross-Border Cooperation" by Mr. Adrian Veale, a Senior expert at the European Commission; and "Campus-in-Campus Project - A Perspective from Vietnamese Higher Education" by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thu Huong, Vice President of Foreign Trade University.
A highlight of FIHE 6 was the exhibition on the internationalization of education. At the exhibition, Foreign Trade University's partners had booths showcasing their educational internationalization activities, with a focus on the "campus-in-campus" theme. This exhibition provided a platform for stakeholders in the higher education ecosystem to share more detailed insights into their experiences, lessons, and key points when implementing internationalization activities in higher education.
