Study tour is the practical activity that generates many opportunities for the students of both universities to learn about different cultures, which demonstrates the comprehensive cooperation between Foreign Trade University and University of Bedfordshire, United Kingdom.
Throughout this journey, students from the joint program between two universities always welcomed and supported the students from United Kingdom. Students from two countries learnt from each other about the interesting differences of the Vietnamese culture and English culture. Especially, students from University of Bedfordshire had the opportunity to explore the traditional and distinctive color of Vietnamese cuisine, as well as the beautiful Old Quarters and other attractions of Hanoi.
The international students participated in Vietnamese Language and Surviving skills lesson delivered by Dr. Nguyen Thien Nam – Dean of Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Language Faculty from VNU University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and Vietnam Economy lesson delivered by Dr. Nguyen Quoc Viet – Dean of Faculty of Development Economics from VNU University of Economics and Business. Through the exciting lessons, students were provided with an overview of the Vietnamese language as well as the development of Vietnam, which enhanced their knowledge about the country.

In the study tour, the international students had visited Ha Long Bay, one of the seven ordinary natural wonders in the world. The fascination of Ha Long Bay had made an impression on the students’ hearts.
In addition, the trip to Sapa, one of the most attractive mountainous destination of Vietnam, was also a remarkable experience when the international students got to see the beauty of nature, and the daily life of the local people with their unique traditional costumes.
In the afternoon of April 17th, the students had the field trip to Dong Anh Aluminium Factory to explore history of development, scale, productive operation, and high-technology production chains of the factory. This is a practical activity organized by Foreign Trade University in order to create surprising and extraordinary experience for the international students.
Study Tour has become the opportunity for students of Foreign Trade University to connect with international friends, enrich their communication ability, as well as develop their event planning skills. Students from both universities had a great time creating beautiful memories together.
