On October 8, 2025, Prof. Dr. Brent Ritchie – President of the Business School, University of Queensland (Australia) – paid a visit and held a working session with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thu Huong – President of Foreign Trade University – to discuss opportunities for expanding strategic cooperation between the two institutions.
The two leaders reviewed the results achieved in the joint implementation of the i-Hons Advanced Program in International Business and Business Data Analytics in the 2024–2025 academic year. The program has contributed to enhancing students’ competencies under the Career Development Integrated Training Program (CDITP), meeting the increasingly demanding requirements of the labor market. In addition, both sides discussed opportunities to strengthen faculty research collaboration, knowledge exchange, and practical experience sharing in program implementation and capacity-building activities for academic staff of both institutions.
These activities have further reinforced and expanded the cooperative relationship between Foreign Trade University and the University of Queensland, affirming FTU’s pioneering position in internationalized education, scientific research, and high-quality human resource development.
As part of Prof. Dr. Brent Ritchie’s working visit, Orientation Day 2025 for Cohort 64 of the i-Hons Advanced Program in International Business & Business Data Analytics (jointly delivered with the University of Queensland) was successfully held on October 8, 2025. The event marked the beginning of the academic journey for the new generation of i-Hons students. Throughout the program, students were introduced to the objectives, philosophy, and training orientation of i-Hons – a program designed to integrate international academic standards with practical application.
At the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thu Huong delivered a welcoming address, emphasizing the importance of the partnership between the two universities in developing internationally accredited academic programs. Prof. Dr. Brent Ritchie also commended the outcomes of the past year’s cooperation in delivering the i-Hons Advanced Program, highlighting the close coordination and professionalism demonstrated by both institutions.
The event received strong attention and support from students and parents, underscoring the growing impact and appeal of the internationally standardized advanced training model implemented by Foreign Trade University.
