From February 16 to February 26, 2025, as part of the collaboration between Foreign Trade University (FTU) and Ritsumeikan University (Japan), the "Advanced Global Fieldwork Program" was successfully held at FTU’s Hanoi campus, with the participation of 22 Ritsumeikan students.
This program is an upgraded version of the "Global Fieldwork Program," first launched in 2019, aimed at providing Ritsumeikan students with in-depth exposure to Vietnam’s culture, economy, business environment, and education system. The 2025 edition offered even more learning opportunities and cultural experiences.
Over a week, the students explored Vietnam’s landmarks through a field trip to Ninh Binh and gained insights into Vietnamese culture and daily life with the support of FTU student "buddies." A highlight of this year’s program was the "homestay" experience, where Japanese students stayed with their Vietnamese buddies' families, enjoying traditional home-cooked meals and daily activities.
A closing ceremony was held on February 25, 2025. Despite its short duration, students produced high-quality research projects that received praise from the judging panel. More than just a learning experience, the program fostered international friendships and networking opportunities.
Participants received completion certificates and meaningful souvenirs, marking the end of a memorable journey in Vietnam.
