On April 9, 2024, the leaders of Foreign Trade University (FTU) met and worked with representatives from the Australian Institute of Business (AIB) to discuss research cooperation.

The AIB delegation included Mr. Uwe Kaufmann, Senior Lecturer and Coordinator of Research Programs at AIB. The FTU delegation included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Ngoc Tien, Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Hoang Nam, Head of Department of Research Administrations; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tu Thuy Anh, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of International Economics and Management; Dr. Cao Thi Hong Vinh and M.A. Tran Duc Huy from the Graduate School.

During the meeting, representatives from both sides provided brief introductions to their respective research activities. They discussed directions for future development to explore research cooperation opportunities, focusing on the following aspects: sharing information and jointly organizing seminars and webinars for researchers, lecturers, students, and doctoral candidates on topics of mutual interest between FTU and AIB; and conducting joint research to write and publish articles in the publications of both institutions (especially encouraging research related to topics on cooperation between Vietnam and Australia).
