On August 4, 2023, Office of International Affairs of Foreign Trade University hosted an "Orientation Dayfor International Exchange Students" to extend a warm welcome to international students, embarking on their academic journey at the institution for the upcoming school year 2023-2024.
The event was graced by the presence of Ms. Dao Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Directorof Office of International Affair, accompanied by the staff from the Office, and a cohort of 46 foreign students who have chosen to engage in this enriching exchange program.
During the orientation session, international students were provided with an informative introduction to the fundamentals of Foreign Trade University. They were also enlightened on matters pertaining to their studies, training at the University, internship, and employment opportunities within Vietnam. Following this, the international students were introduced to their buddiesfrom Foreign Trade University who would be offering support throughout their academic journey.
Furthermore, with the intention of fostering a strong connection between international students and Vietnam students, the university has launched initiatives aimed at transforming each exchange student into an ambassador of Foreign Trade University upon their return to their home countries. To achieve this, FTU facilitates participation in the Buddy program, which pairs FTU students with international students during their exchange in Vietnam. This program not only aids in cultural integration but also allows international students to learn the Vietnamese language, experience local culture, visit businesses, and partake in the celebration of major national holidays.
In the context of increasingly strong development of international cooperation activities, Foreign Trade University has dedicated significant effort to enhance the quality of education and research, with an open vision and commitment to creating a diverse and creative learning environment. The presence of 46 students from 12 different countries at the Orientation Dayfor exchange students ahead of the new academic year in 2023-2024 stands as a testament to the fruitful outcomes of these endeavors. Foreign Trade University takes pride in its readiness to embrace fresh opportunities and confront challenges, propelling the institution to new pinnacles in global education.
