The program had the participation of the representatives of the British Embassy, London Metropolitan University, distinguished guests, teachers, students and their parents.
This program is a reputable training program. Through 6 enrollment seasons, the program has welcomed more than 200 students, more than 70 students who have graduated and have had stable jobs in banks, large enterprises in Vietnam. FTU is proud to welcome another 46 new bachelors in this year of graduation ceremony.
FTU was honored to welcome the distinguished guests: Mrs. Selena Mc Guinness - Head of the UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) - representative of the British Embassy in Vietnam; and from the the London Metropolitan University: Dr. Graham Taylor-Russell - Dean of Students & Academic Registrar; Dr. Simon Jones - Dean of Business and Law; Dr. Wendy Bloisi - Head of Partnerships (Academic).
From FTU, there were the presence of: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Thu Thuy - Vice President, Dr. Nguyen Hai Ninh - Director of the Center for International Development, teachers, the parents and more than 120 students of the program.
The graduation ceremonies took place cozy but still formal, Dr. Simon Jones opened his speech by congratulating 46 new bachelors.
The students of the Bachelor of Arts (Cohort 2) had spent enormous amounts of time together, helped thsem to cultivate the necessary skills and knowledge so that they could get ready to work for big companies.
The Graduation day is an important milestone with the students. It is the end of the four complete years of study under the roof of the Foreign Trade University, but also the start of more challenges in life. FTU expects students would continue to be confident and achieve more success in the future.
Mrs. Selena Mc Guinness - Head of the UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) - representative of the British Embassy in Vietnam showed her praise and encouragement for the students, while confirmed the strong relationship between Vietnam and UK, especially in the field of education.
The old school year has been over which means a new school year will begin with the students of the Bachelor of Arts (Cohort 3 and 4). Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Thu Thuy - Vice President represent for FTU's Board of Management delivered a speech and declared the new school year.
In order to encourage the learning spirit of students, FTU has awarded scholarships for those who achieved high results. Students must achieve a GPA of 70 or above, with no retest or relearn any subject. In the academic year of 2015-2016, there were a total of 28 students from 3 courses (Cohort 2, 3, 4) received an award from the university. These scholarships were a recognition of the school and the Center for International Development of FTU of the students' efforts in the past school year.
