On March 9th, 2017, Foreign Trade University (FTU) held an opening ceremony of Post Graduate Program on the pilot scheme of doctoral training for countries of the greater Mekong subregion (1st Intake).

On 17 January 2017, together with students from Bachelor of Business Chinese of Foreign Trade University, Faculty of International Education welcomed 20 students and lecturer from Nanhua University, Taiwan. The event created the opportunity for Foreign Trade University’s students to exchange cultures, advance their foreign language, and embrace social interactive skills.

In the morning of February 16^th 2017, in Foreign Trade University (FTU), Forum on “Internationalization in Higher Education: Promoting Student Mobility” has held the opening ceremony.

On December 13rd, 2016, the AEON Corporation organized a scholarship award ceremony for students who achieved excellent academic achievements of the Foreign Trade University (FTU) and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (HCMUSSH).

On December 21st, 2016, Foreign Trade University (FTU) held a solemn ceremony of signing a strategic partnership agreement with Ernst & Young Vietnam Limited company (EY Vietnam).

On December 21st, 2016, Foreign Trade University (FTU) organized a solemn ceremony of signing a cooperation agreement with Unilever on a comprehensive cooperation program which associated universities and businesses.

The FIAM Final took place on 16th, December 2016 at the Meeting Hall of Vietnam youth Academy with the large attendance of audiences and guests, which officially put an end to the long journey of this year.

From 6th December to 10th December, the delegation of the Foreign Trade University (FTU) led by the President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Anh Tuan visited and worked in Taiwan according to the official invitation of the Ministry of Education Republic of China (Taiwan).

There were Mr. Chen Liang-Gee - Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education Republic of China (Taiwan), Ms. Min - Ling Yang - Director General of the Department of International Cooperation, Mr. Aaron Chen - President's Council of Advisors on Education and leaders of some departments welcomed the delegation of FTU. Mr. Chen Liang-Gee highly appreciated the close cooperation the Foreign Trade University and the University of Taiwan in recent years. He also expressed his support and commitment to create favorable conditions for this cooperation. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Anh Tuan hoped the Ministry of Education Republic of China (Taiwan) would help the univerity in improving the connections with businesses and Merchants Association of Taiwan.

On this occasion, the delegation of FTU also had a visit and worked with the longtime partner of FTU such as: Nanhua University in Chiayi which was near the capital of Buddhism of Taiwan and created the majority of jobs for Vietnam students in general and FTU students in particular. The training cooperation of the Bachelor of Hospitality and Tourism Management 2+2 between the two universities will give students the chance to study and practice in Taiwan as well as the opportunity to countinue study at the Michigan University in the United States with the entire course fee is only $ 14,000.

In addtion, Nanhua University is the place where many leading professors of Taiwan are teaching: Prof. Wann-Yih Wu - Vice President of Nanhua University, who has nearly 200 articles which were published in the international journals on administration of ISI list, has committed to guide and support the researchers from FTU in order to write and post articles in the journals of ISI and Scopus list. Lin Tsung-Ming - President of Nanhua University confirmed that they will promote the cooperation between the two universities on both aspects of training and research.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Anh Tuan along with the delegation visit the modern library system, hostels, lecture halls where students of joint training programs will be living in two years. Meiho University is located in Pingtung, Southern Taiwan and it is considered as one of the most leading technological universities in Taiwan. Besides the cooperation in training Master of Business Administration, the two universities also co-operate in training the Bachelor of Hospitality Management 2+2. The students were taught the necessary management skills in the field of hotel and tourism with the mordern pratise room system. The delegation of Foreign Trade University had an experience of having lunch that were served by the students. The students of the affiliate program of Bachelor of Hospitality Management will be practiced in Singapore from 6 months to 1 year with salary up to $2,000 per month.

In Taipei, the delegation had a business trip to Ming Chuan University which is currently ranked No. 419 in the list of the best universities in the world, the only university in Asia that achieved accreditation by the United States. The Bachelor of International Business programme 2+2 which is a joint training between FTU and Ming Chuan University has been increasingly attracted the students. Ming Chuan University is highly appreciated the quality students from FTU. The delegation of FTU visited FTU students at their workplaces and all the students expressed their satisfaction and comfort when they were studying here.
