I. Overview:

Since its establishment on March 28th 2007, under the operational control of Faculty of Finance and Banking along with Youth Union, Foreign Trade University’s Securities Investment Club (SIC) has been recognized among leading student organizations about economy, finance and stocks investment. Its activities, which aim to enhance human development and prepare human resources with high competence for the financial market, are based on a set of three key features:
● Trigger values in student society: SIC’s events make it feasible for students having interests in economy, finance and securities investment to learn, compete and intensify their self-development
● Provide the club’s members with diverse capabilities: SIC encourages members to augment their knowledge and acquire engaging experiences through several professional events and internal bonding occasions
● Connect students and firms: SIC has been launching and strengthening the networks among young gifted individuals and financial and stock companies

II. Dominant activities
With a view to providing facile methods of approaching finance and securities investment for not only Foreign Trade University’s students but also all the young in Hanoi, annually, SIC carries out appealing professional activities. Below are some big names:
● START-UP - Stock market trading course for beginners
● “Shades of stock markets get-to-know” fair
● I-INVEST! - The club’s major annual event: It is ranked the biggest economy and finance-related competition for undergraduates in Northern Vietnam with the estimated aggregate awards’ value up to 300 millions VND. For years, I-INVEST! has caught on among college students and financial and stock organizations for its significant role in empowering young people to take job opportunities from prestigious companies, as well as inspiring them to get challenged in a highly academic and professional competition.
