This activity began in 2006 with the expectation that scholarship students will become the bridge between Japan and other countries in the region. In Vietnam, scholarships have been awarded to a total of 626 students of universities, including two universities from Hanoi from 2012 and two universities from Ho Chi Minh City in 2011. "Aeon scholarship" is one of three programs that the Aeon 1% Club Foundation is implementing.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Director general of AeonMall Vietnam, representatives of Aeon Vietnam and Aeon Delight Vietnam, representatives of University of Social Sciences and Humanities - National University Hanoi and Foreign Trade University.

On the side of FTU, there was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thu Thuy - Vice President.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thu Thuy - Vice President of FTU sent her sincere thanks for Aeon Vietnam Co., Ltd in general, Mr. Konishi and those who have dedicated the meaningful scholarships to students of FTU in learning activities and social work in particular. She hoped that the cooperation between Foreign Trade University and Aeon Vietnam would keep developing wider in many fields, not only awarded scholarships but also opened training courses for Aeon's leaders and staffs at FTU, or opened training programs according to Aeon's needs for the students to enrich the human resources of Aeon Vietnam.

This year, there are 60 students from Foreign Trade University and University of Social Sciences and Humanities -National University Hanoi. At the ceremony, representative of students who received Aeon's scholarships has presented "My Dreams" in Japanese and English, have the opportunity to exchange with guests from the representative agencies of Japan, the universities, thereby thinking more about their future.
