Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thu Thuy - Vice President of FTU warmly welcomed Kitayama Yuichiro to visit Foreign Trade University and have annual lectures of Sumitomo Corporation for the students. She affirmed that FTU cared and respected the cooperative relationship with Japanese companies in general and the Sumitomo Group in particular. She supposed that the practical lectures of experts from Sumitomo Corporation during the past time was a vivid expression for the good cooperation between the university and enterprise.
The Vice President of FTU also said that the cooperation of comprehensive strategic partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia between Vietnam and Japan was in a good stage of development like never before. The presentation of Mr. Kitayama Yuichiro was not only provide an insight on the process of economic cooperation between Vietnam and Japan, but also an excellent opportunity for delegates to share their views and ideas which would eventually lead to the connection between theory and practice in education. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thu Thuy expresses her sincere thanks to Sumitomo Corporation for its commitment to corporate social responsibility. She wished to continue to strengthen the partnerships and have more valuable collaborations with Sumitomo Group in the future.
Mr. Kitayama Yuichiro from Sumitomo Corporation had a lecture at FTU
Mr. Kitayama Yuichiro's lecture entitled "International economic cooperation and public-private partnership" introduced an overview of global operations of Sumitomo Corporation, Sogo - Shosha concept, the relationship of development cooperation between Vietnam and Japan with major projects have been implemented, the Japan-Vietnam joint initiative, public-private partnership between Vietnam and Japan have been and would be implemented in the future, foreign direct investment from Japan into Vietnam. At the end of his lecture, Mr. Kitayama Yuichiro posed three questions that were suggestive to students:
- What should Vietnamese youth do to contribute to the development of the Vietnam economy?
- What can Vietnamese youth do to strengthen the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Japan?
- What should Vietnamese youth do to look forward to the future?
The discussion took place in a lively and helpful atmosphere.
