On 09th October 2017, the Opening Ceremony of the Joint Training Program of the Master of Commerce and Asia-Europe Economic Relations academic year 2017-2018 and the Closing Ceremony of the IMAGERI project took place at the Foreign Trade University (FTU).

FTU was honored to welcome Prof. Lesley Lelourec - Vice President for International Relations of the University of Rennes 2; Prof. Jacques Oulhen - Vice President for Research and Training of the University of Rennes 2; Prof. Claude-Emmanuel Leroy - Coordinator of IMAGERI project in Asia-Pacific - Francophone University Association in Vietnam; Prof. Marc Lautier - Director of the Master's Program in Commerce and Asia-Europe Economic Relations, Rennes 2 University, the French Republic; Prof. Tran Thi Anh Dao - lecture of the program - representative of the University of Rouen; Prof. Hoang Xuan Sang - representative of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences - representative of the Francophone University Association in Vietnam.

On the side of Foreign Trade University, there was the presence of: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Anh Tuan - President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thi Thu Giang - Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tang Van Nghia - Dean of Postgraduate Studies Department, Dr. Dinh Ngoc Lam - Dean of French Language Faculty - Head of IMAGERI Project at FTU together with teachers and students of the two programs.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Anh Tuan - President of FTU delivered opening remarks and congratulated 17 new students on the Master's program in Commerce and Asia-Europe Economic Relations. He also congratulated the success of the IMAGERI project and 5 students of the project who have successfully completed the program. The President of FTU expresses his gratitude for the dedicated attention and multi-faceted support of the Francophone university organization, French-speaking organizations, the close cooperation of the University of Rennes 2 and other relevant agencies, teachers for their hard work, innovation, creativity, staffs and Postgraduate Studies Department, faculties who have closely coordinated and well organized this program. 

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Anh Tuan gave his sincere thanks to the Francophone University Association, the University of Rouen, the University of Rennes 2 and the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences for their support and close coordination in implementing the project, the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Education and Training, universities and research institutes, agencies throughout the country have trusted the project and the Foreign Trade University. In addition, he also thanked the professors, lecturers, project managers of the partners and Prof. Tran Thi Anh Dao. The President of FTU wished the students, future scientists a good health, success on the way of their research.

Panoramic view of the ceremony

The Imageri project was approved by the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam in 2009, which in cooperation with the University of Rennes 2, through 8 training courses, the program has achieved many successes. As the first program in the field of research on trade and economic relations between Europe and Asia. It was born in the context of increasing cooperation in depth and breadth between the two continents; Nearly 150 graduates who have made significant contributions to high quality human resources in many countries, not only in Vietnam but also in neighboring countries such as Laos, Cambodia and some other countries.

The IMAGERI project (integration, exchange of academic in management, economics and international relations) comes from the humanity idea of ​​the professor Tran Thi Anh Dao, with the desire to improve knowledge and scientific research skills for students in Vietnam who want to study doctorate in Vietnam and especially study abroad in European countries.

On behalf of the Board of Management, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Anh Tuan - President of FTU gave flowers and gifts to the partners and presented certificates to 5 students who completed the IMAGERI program.
