FTU Event: On the afternoon of July 10th, 2012, The United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has come to visit Foreign Trade University within the framework of her official visit to Vietnam.

Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Chau, President of Foreign Trade University with faculty members and more than 200 FTU students and more than 100 former students of the Fulbright scholarship program have expressed honor and pride to welcome Mrs Hillary Clinton and the corps diplomatic of USA.

The young FTU students have always held great admiration and respect for Mrs Hillary Clinton. Right from the beginning of the conversation, Mrs Hillary Clinton has confirmed the close relationship of the Clinton family to Vietnam. She delighted to have the opportunity to visit the University, which is often referred to as the "Harvard of Vietnam” two years after her husband, President Bill Clinton came here (President Bill Clinton had visited FTU on November 14th, 2010). The intimacy is also reflected that she is the Secretary of State who visits Viet Nam most often (3 times in 2 years) and the member of Clinton family who visit Viet Nam the most (4 times). So she hopes that the intimacy will continue for many more years.

She reminded the alumni of the Fulbright scholarship program and FTU students about the opportunities of young people in a globalized world and our tasks are always creating new opportunities, opening the door to the next generation of youth so they can walk through that door to become human benefit society.

Education is one of the priorities of the Secretary of State Mrs. Hillary Clinton in relations with Vietnam, Foreign Trade University currently has very good cooperation with the major universities of the United States such as Colorado State University, California State University - Fullerton, University of Hawaii ... and in the future, FTU will further expand the cooperation with many universities in the United States to be able to bring Vietnam students new opportunities to learning and research.
