FAA Day 2017 was honored to welcome Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Anh Tuan - President of FTU, Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Chau - Former President of FTU - Editor in Chief of the External Economies Review, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Thu Thuy - Vice President of FTU, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Minh - Director of FTU Ho Chi Minh City Campus.

On the guest side, which was attended by Ms. Pham Chi Lan - Economist - former Vice Chairman of Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) - former members of the Consultative Group for the Prime Minister - alumni course 2 of FTU, Mr. Bui Ngoc Loan - Labor hero in the renovation period, Director of the Vinatrans Foreign Trade Logistics Company.

On behalf of FTU Alumni Asscociation, there was Mr. Nguyen Huu Thang - Chairman of FAA - Chairman of the Member Council of Hanoi Trade Corporation (Hapro), Mr. Nguyen Duc Thanh - Vice Chairman of FAA - Chairman of Vietnam Cashew Association.

This event had attracted the attention of generation of alumni and students of FTU around the world. With the theme of "FTU Student's Startup Day - Difference to lead", the festival was not only meant Startup (a start to a high position) but also an upstart - the beginning of a high position - as the position of the alumni of Foreign Trade University.

The Alumni Fair with the theme of "Proud of FTU Startup" took place in the morning that attracted the attendance of more than 50 booths of businesses and organizations which FTU alumni were playing a key leadership role. This exhibition was a chance for businesses of former FTU students to introduce their products and services to a large number of visitors and create opportunities for cooperation and business in the future.

The Alumni Talk with the topic "Foreign Trade University - Difference to lead" with the presentation of an economic expert Ms. Pham Chi Lan had attracted the attention of a large number of alumni as well as students who attended the event.

The Alumni Upstart with the theme "New Beginnings from the High Stairway" was a gala dinner that aroused and inspired upstart - a new beginning, a formation and a start from the high position. The Upstart expressed the spirit of creating values constantly from successful FTU alumni.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Anh Tuan - President of FTU delivered a speech at the gala dinner. He hoped the alumni would countinue to connect, share and give their passion for the next generations together with the university in order to build value, reputation and brand of Foreign Trade University. The Gala Dinner was also witnessed the launch of the FAA Executive Board, the FAA Business Association and the Alumni Support Fund.

Throughout the three sections of the event, the alumni and students have acquired opportunities for trade links, knowledge exchange and the meeting between generations who have studied under the roof of FTU.
