Director General Francis Gurry, who has always paid special attention and encouragement to youth’s creativity, spent the whole morning on March 23th, 2017 to work with the Board of President of Foreign Trade University and presented in a special event of Foreign Trade University.

As known as the leading university in training and coaching business and economics in Vietnam, with in-depth knowledge about the importance role of intellectual property towards the economic and social development, in recent years, Foreign Trade University has made great efforts and investments for researching, training and organizing a lot of seminar, talk show to promote and acknowledge lecturers, students and society of intellectual property in doing business.

Since 2017, Foreign Trade University started to instruct Intellectual Property for sophomore and forward. Especially, many student competitions and contests relating to Intellectual Property have been organized recently, such as Gameshow Vietnam IPChallenge© , Innovating FBA Challenge, Talent Marketer,… In 2016, Foreign Trade University was honorably awarded the first prize in “ Copyright and Creativity” contest by Vietnam Copyright Department, Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism.

To welcome the Director General and promoting the acknowledgement of the importance of IP, Foreign Trade University organized a series of annual events with the theme for 2017: INNOVATION – IMPROVING LIVES such as talk show, IPDay exhibition, IPWalk. The emphasis of this series is the “ IP Impression ” painting, in which , Mr Francis Gurry is the one to put the first piece and the Gameshow Vietnam IPChallenge© 2017 also kicked off by him
