Participating in the ceremony on April 26th, 2017, there were: Mr. Philipe Lantada - Counselor of the Embassy of the Uruguayan Embassy in Vietnam, Prof. Maria Noel Ramos - Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Uruguay National University.

From FTU, there were the presence of: Assoc. Prof. Dr Nguyen Thu Thuy - Vice President, Assoc. Prof. Dr Vu Hoang Nam - Head of Department of Management Science, Msc. Dao Thi Thu Ha - Deputy Head of Department of International Affairs and lecturers.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thu Thuy - Vice President of FTU sent the warmest greetings to the lecturers, staffs and especially 138 students from the Department of Business Administration - Uruguay National University who paid a visit and worked at FTU. Although Uruguay National University students studied at FTU for three days, but we hoped the students could get the basics knowledge and had an overview of Vietnam's culture, economy and business environment so that it could be applied in the development of economic and trade relations between Vietnam and Uruguay or their future career.

In the first lesson, the students have gained a lot of knowledge about the Vietnamese economy and the prospects of economic cooperation between Southeast Asia and Latin America in general, Vietnam and Uruguay in particular through lecture by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Hoang Nam - Head of Department of Scientific Management with the lecture "Overview on the Economy of Vietnam and the Region" and they were learnt more about the beautiful of Viet Nam Country with the lecture "Vietnam at a glance" by Msc. Dao Thi Thu Ha - Deputy Director of International Cooperation Department . In the second lesson, Ms. Vu Minh Chau - Department of International Cooperation - the State Bank of Vietnam with the topic "Vietnam's economic integration process" provided the students with information on international trade agreements, the characteristics of the agreements and the list of agreements which Vietnam had joined. In addition, the students also respond positively about the method of attracting FDI for economic development in Vietnam by Msc. Cao Thi Hong Vinh with the theme of "Attracting FDI for sustainable development in Vietnam". Lastly, Mr. Dinh Bao Linh - Ministry of Industry and Trade gave a lecture on "Rural Development and Poverty Reduction" that provided knowledge on rural development and poverty alleviation in Vietnam.

After three days of study, on 28th April, 2017, students of Uruguay National University had completed successfully the course "Economic development in Vietnam and opportunities for cooperation in Asia" at the Foreign Trade University. With these knowledeges the students could also apply in the commercial activities with Vietnam. Hopefully after this trip, among the students here, there will be some people to establish the import-export business between Vietnam and Uruguay.
