On 2nd June 2014, Foreign Trade University organized the Closing ceremony for 4th intake of Bachelor of Business Studies training by Foreign Trade University (Vietnam) and University of Bedfordshire (United Kingdom).

The Bachelor of Business Studies is adapted with United Kingdom’s standard and imported 100% from University of Bedfordshire. The program is delivered in English. Students can study 3 years at FTU and decide to either going to UK or staying in VN to finish their last year and achieve the degree of Bachelor of Business Studies granted by University of Bedfordshire (UoB).

Dr. Ho Thuy Ngoc, Dean of Faculty of International Education – The Faculty in charge of the program informed that students need to achieve IELTS 6.0 before going to UK to study their final year. In September 2014, 70 students will transfer to University of Bedfordshire to study the final year (20 of them are from Hochiminh Campus) and 41 students will continue their study in Vietnam (12 of them will study in Hochiminh Campus). Among these, 16 students have achieved IELTS 6.5, 7.0 and 7.5. The improvement in the quality of students is the pride of Faculty of International Education, Foreign Trade University.

In the speech, Prof Hoang Van Chau, President of Foreign Trade University had highly evaluated the quality of the program and the significant effort of FB4 students over the past 3 years. Prof Hoang Van Chau also reminded students to improve their knowledge, language as well as other soft skills in order to easily join in the new international studying environment. With the aim to motivate students who had achieved high academic result in the academic year of 2013-2014, Prof Hoang Van Chau – President of Foreign Trade University also conferred the award to the top 7 students from FB4 cohort.

University of Bedfordshire also highly evaluated the capability of students from Faculty of International Education and decided to grant numbers of valuable scholarships to those who transfer to UoB to study their final year. In 2014, 18 students who had achieved GPA 75/100 and IELTS 6.0 and above (with no band less than 5.5) will receive the “Merit Scholarship” from University of Bedfordshire with the total value up to 324.000.000 VND.

On behalf of FB4 students, Tran Hong Kong had expressed the sincere thanks to the University, to the staffs and lecturers as well as their family for the endless support and encouragement. The love from the lecturers and staffs are the motivation for students to strive for the best in the future.
