FTU News: On November 16th, 2015, on the occasion of 40 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and New Zealand, the delegation from NZ government led by The Right Honorable James Bolger - Former Prime Minister of New Zealand had paid a visit to Foreign Trade University and congratulated its 55th anniversary.
The delegation from New Zealand Government includes: The Right Honorable James Bolger - Former Prime Minister of NZ, Prof Lester Khoo - Director, International Relations and Development, AUT University, Ms. Jane Tran - Vietnam Trusted Advisor, AUT University and senior staffs from Auckland University of Technology (NZ).

During the meeting, the Right Honorable James Bolger highly appreciated the cooperation between two countries: Vietnam - New Zealand, especially in the education area. The close relationship between two countries had set the solid foundation for the Universities to develop further the international cooperation that enable students to enjoy the diverse environment and be engaged in the globalization trend.

On the occasion of FTU's 55th anniversary, Auckland Technology University (New Zealand) and Foreign Trade University had signed the MoU on Developing Network of International Volunteers for teaching English in Northern Vietnam. This project is aimed to support Vietnamese pupils and students to practise and improve their English skills through direct communication with Native Speakers from AUT.

After the Signing Ceremony, the NZ delegation had a workshop with FTU students. During the workshop, students had chance to raise the questions regarding to living style and studying environment in New Zealand. Besides, it is also the great opportunities for students to seek information related to scholarship offers from high-ranking NZ universities. Together with the enthusiastic consultant from partner universities, hopefully FTU students will find it helpful to choose the appropriate path way for themselves in the future.
