Prof. Dr. McLean Gary Neil is currently the president of McLean Global Consulting, Inc (MGC). He is also a Senior Professor at Texas A&M University and a Emeritus Professor and a co-founder of the Human Resource Development Program at the University of Minnesota, USA. He has extensive experiences of working in many parts of the world, especially in Asia. He frequently teaches the Human Resources Development programs in Thailand and Mexico. He is the President of the Institute of Human Resources Development (IHRD) and Association for the Development of Global Governance and is a member of editorial board of some peer- reviewed journals;

On the side of FTU, there was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Anh Tuan - President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Thu Thuy - Vice President, teachers and leaders of some units had a meeting and warmly welcomed Prof. Dr. McLean Gary Neil.

The contents of the meeting focused on the organization of Human Development Reports (HDR) seminar in 2019 and orientation for developing the External Economies Review of FTU.

Within 2 working days at FTU, Prof. Dr. McLean Gary Neil also had two seminars on "Current topics in research in human resource development" and "How to get published in good journals". The seminars was aimed at exchanging orientations and research interests with researchers and lecturers of FTU.

Although the Professor is visually impaired but he has many decades of experience in human resource development research and counsel for businesses and governments in many countries such as Korea, India, Kenya, Brazil, ... The point of views and research approaches in the areas of HRD and HRM of Prof. Dr. McLean Gary Neil is particularly significant in both theory and practice. In addition, the knowledges and experiences that he exchanges today are extremely interesting and valuable.
