The Global Human Resources Forum 2017 was co-organized by the Korea Ministry of Education, the Korea Economic Daily and the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam.

The Global Human Resources Forum 2017 between Vietnam and Korea was held in Hanoi with the participation of 300 guests, including management agencies, universities rectors, research institutions, Korea Education and Culture Organizations, chief executive officers, human resources managers and other organizations who interested in human resources development from Korea and Vietnam.

In particular, there was the presence of Mr. Kim Sang Kon - Deputy Prime Minister cum Minister of Education of the Republic of Korea, Mr. Kim Kiwoong - President and Editor-in-Chief of the Korea Economic Daily, Mr. Lee Hyuk - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam, Prof. Dr. Phung Xuan Nha - member of Communist Party Central Executive Committee cum Minister of Education and Training of Vietnam.

From Foreign Trade University (FTU), there was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Anh Tuan - President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thu Thuy - Vice President attended and presided over the speeches at 3 sessions of the forum.

This year's theme is Miracle on "Han River" to Miracle on "Red River". The South Korea shared the learned lessons that has brought this country from a poor country in the late 1950s to become an Asian dragon in the early 1990s and created a miracle of the Han River. Here, all parties have identified opportunities and challenges for the development of high quality human resources and proposed appropriate solutions to meet the demand for human resources in the new era to improve further the quality of human resources in Vietnam, served for the 4th Industrial Revolution in Vietnam as well as on an international scale.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Anh Tuan - President of FTU delivered a speech at the Global Human Resource Forum in Vietnam 2017 

At the second session of the first working day of the Forum, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Anh Tuan - President of FTU - Former Director General of Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Training co-chaired and delivered an important speech. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Anh Tuan emphasized the need to further strengthen the cooperation in training high quality human resources between Vietnam and Korea in accordant with investment - business relationship between two countries. In his presentation, the President of FTU also pointed out the difficulties, challenges as well as the advantages and opportunities in human resources cooperation between Vietnam and Korea in the future.

At the first session of the second working day of the Forum, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thu Thuy - Vice President of FTU who was invited to be a speaker at the forum and had an important speech. She mentioned the good cooperation between Vietnam and Korea, introduced the overview of formal and associated training programs at FTU and scientific research activities, international cooperation, exchange students, business cooperation, thus highlighting the opportunities for cooperation between FTU and the universities in Korea. Specifically, the Vice President of FTU also introduced a model of effective cooperation between FTU and SolBridge International School of Business of Woosong University as a model for the prospect of cooperation in education between the two countries Vietnam and South Korea.

On the sidelines of the Forum, the leaders of FTU have had meetings with leaders of some universities, organizations, agencies and Korean enterprises who came to Vietnam to seek opportunities for cooperation in human resources.
