Opening ceremony Advanced Program in Japanese Style International Business

On 27th September, 2017, the Foreign Trade University (FTU) held an opening ceremony of the Japanese style International Business Program taught in English.

There was the presence of many representatives from Japanese universities and companies Prof. Hiroyoshi Kiku - the President of the Kanto Kaguin University, Mr. Hironobu Kitagawa - Chief representative of the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO), Deputy representative of JICA in VietNam – Mr Kobayashi Ryutaro, Mr. Atsuto Kimura – Secretary General of The Japan Business Association in Vietnam (JBAV). In addition, there were presence of General Directors, Directors of Japanese enterprises in Vietnam such as Panasonic, TOTO, Minamj Fuji, Datasection, Nipro Pharma, B & Company, ... The ceremony also welcome representatives of Hai Phong City Scientific Association for Development of Talents, Human Resources. Directors in the ceremony are, at the same time, members of the Keiejuku Club.

On the side of FTU, there were the presence of: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Anh Tuan - President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Thu Thuy - Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thu Thuy - Vice President; Dr. Pham Thu Huong - Head of Trade Union Department, Head of the Department of Undergraduate Training Management; Mr. Sasaki Juichiro – Chief Technical Advisor of VJCC; Dr. Nguyen Thi Hien - Director of VJCC, teachers and 71 freshmen of FTU.

Giving speech at the opening ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Bui Anh Tuan sent greetings as well as special messages to new students. The president affirmed that the program will be developed on the basis of the achievements and experiences of implementing the training program of international business in many years, while taking advantage of the experiences and achievements in nearly 20 years of implementation of human resource development project at VJCC funded by JICA.

Dr. Nguyen Thi Hien - Director of VJCC introduced the main features of the program with 3 main pillars: (i) Modern knowledge, (ii) Experience and model of Japan, and (iii) Culture, environment and people of Vietnam. The Advanced Diploma of International Business is a modern training model, awarded by Foreign Trade University, which is built on the basis of the international business consultancy of many reputable universities all over the world, especially in Japan, with the learning model attached to the practical experience. The program is attended by Japanese professors, FTU lecturers and JICA experts, experienced business managers from Japan and Vietnam.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Ryutaro KOBAYASHI, Deputy Representative of JICA Vietnam Office; Prof. Hiroyoshi Kiku, Kanto Gakuin University, Japan; Mr. Atsuto KIMURA, Secretary General, Japan Business Association (JBAV); And Ms. Tran Thi Thu Trang, Director of Hanel Joint Stock Company, President of Keieijuku Club of VJCC has shared the joy with new students and expressed their willingness to support the Program through creating favourable conditions, opportunities for learning and development for students.

Especially, during the Opening Ceremony, the program has received the sponsorship of Keieijuku Club alumni with total scholarship worth up to 210 million VND for students with excellent performance and students overcome difficulties in learning. These are really meaningful gifts, a great source of motivation for students' efforts.

Responding to the sentiments and support of Japanese universities, the Japanese and Vietnamese business community and delegates, on behalf of all new students, Nguyen Bao Ngoc, shared some thoughts, confidence in the program as well as showing the determination to study and develop themselves.The success of the Opening Ceremony is a good starting point for the Advanced International Bachelor Program in Japanese style - one of the leading training programs of VJCC.
