ICEBM, the sixth International Conference on Economics, Business and Management in collaboration with the Tarumanagara University (UNTAR) was held in Hanoi, Vietnam on 16th and 17th November finished successfull.

From Foreign Trade University (FTU), there was the presence of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Thu Thuy - Vice President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thu Thuy - Vice President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tu Thuy Anh - Dean of International Economics, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Tuong Anh - Deputy Dean of International Economics and leaders of some units in the university, lecturers and students.

On the side of UNTAR, there was: Prof. Dr. Agustinus Purna Irawan - President cum Founding Board Member, Dr. R.M. Gatot P. Soemartono - Vice President.

The participation of scholars, businesses, graduate students and students with more than 145 brief summaries and nearly 100 essays from countries such as Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Taiwan, Australia and Finland have been contributed to the success of the conference. The conference consisted of two plenary sessions and three sessions in parallel with over 90 presentations that were presented and discussed in areas such as business and regional development, business and government support, business and Intellectual Property Rights, business and finance, model of the family business development, green enterprises, start-up businesses, corporate governance in the field of law, marketing, business strategies, governance quality improvement,...

Dr. Lin Tian from Shanghai University, China presented on the topic of sharing economy and focused on exploiting products such as room rental services, work tools and transport facilities.

Dr. Tran Toan Thang - Head of world’s economic board (National Center for Socio-Economic Information and Forecasting) of the Ministry of Planning and Investment presented on the topic entitled “Business environment, market structure in Vietnam and firm dynamics”. His presentation provided useful information on the business situation of Vietnamese enterprises, enterprise dimension, business environment, business indicators, regional competition, the problems of FDI and financial structure.

Dr. R.M. Gatot P. Soemartono - Vice President of UNTAR, Indonesia presented on the topic entitled “Arbitration as Part of Entrepreneurial Approach to the Protection of Business Transaction”. The presentation analyzed the relationships between enterprises and the emergence of economic arbitration to find common concepts and solve disputes within the business community.

In addition, a cooperation agreement between Tarumanagara University, Indonesia (UNTAR) and Foreign Trade University (FTU) of Vietnam also was signed in this conference.

The conference has brought a lot of research results, ideas and practical experiences in business which were shared and discussed in a vibrant way. The conference is also an opportunity for researchers and enterprises to build a strong network of support for the development of research as well as business.
