WorldQuant is a quantitative asset management firm founded in 2007 and currently has over 500 employees globally. They develop and deploy systematic financial strategies across a variety of asset classes in global markets, utilizing a proprietary research platform and risk management process.
The seminar had the presence of Mr. Jeffrey Scott - Director of WorldQuant’s Virtual Research Center, Mr. Nitish Maini - Vice President Portfolio Manager at WorldQuant LLC and Mr. Dinh Khac Dong - Researcher of WorldQuant Vietnam.
From FTU, there were the presence of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Viet Dung - Dean of Finance and Banking Faculty, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mai Thu Hien - Vice Dean of Finance and Banking Faculty and other teachers and students.
The seminar attracted a large number of participants of students from Banking and Finance Faculty and students who were interested in the field of investment analysis, especially quantitative analysis.
The speakers shared their experiences in quantitative finance and the opportunity to become quantitative researchers in the global financial market throughout the program. They also provided tools as well as courses, seminars on research and modeling of quantitative finance.
The students participated enthusiastically and gave the speakers many interesting question. The seminar was successfully concluded and received positive feedback from the students.
